     This entire piece 
has a blue ground which 
is decorated with dragon, 
phoenix and lotus motifs.
It also has projecting 
flanges.  The Ching-t'ai 
reign mark is cast in 
relief on the base, 
written in two columns 
of  standard  script 
calligraphy.
